THE PROBLEM
As a software company, Exalate operates on a truly global scale to attract top talent. Diversity is a core value at Exalate, reflecting the belief that innovative solutions stem from varied perspectives. As a core part of this strategy, they prioritize global remote work to attract top talent across multiple countries.
In order to simplify their global hiring efforts, Exalate required an experienced EOR provider who could take over employer responsibilities on their behalf in new markets. Above all, Exalate wanted to be flexible to meet the needs of their diverse workforce, and required a hands-on EOR partner who could help them accomplish this.
However, they were disappointed after trialing the services of two of the biggest EOR providers in the market. These providers made promises of being able to accommodate their needs. However, in practice, they struggled to onboard employees in all the countries Exalate operated in. The team felt that these providers didn’t try to accommodate their unique context.

Six employees migrated successfully from alternative EOR providers to Playroll, with no hiccups.
The Exalate team were also able to add two new employees to their team with Playroll’s support, even when some situations were tricky. For example, Payroll helped them switch a team member to a Irish contract on short notice, when his Canadian work permit expired.
With Playroll’s proactive approach, the team saved 20% on EOR costs by reducing exchange rate fees and streamlining employee payments in local currencies. In comparison, the team often encountered high, unexpected additional exchange fees with their previous EOR providers.
